~BIG DRUM ROLL..........~
Now, before our special announcement, I would just like to take a minute to explain how I handled the drawing. First I made a list of everybody who had entered, and how many entries each person had, which came out like this:
David B. -- 4 (Entries 1-4)
Jonathan P. -- 8 (Entries 5-12)
Cora B. -- 6 (Entries 13-18)
Ely D. -- 4 (Entries 19-22)
Jacob B. -- 5 (Entries 23-27)
Paula M. --1 (Entry 28)
Tyler W. -- 4 (Entries 29-32)
Dawn B. -- 1 (Entry 33)
K. Family -- 1 (Entry 34)
Patrick C. -- 4 (Entries 35-38)
Hristiyan M. -- 4 (Entries 39-42)
Then, I went to www.random.org and used their number generator to come up with the winning number:
25
So, congratulations to Jacob B! Yes, that's my brother... :-) You get first prize!
But, seeing as my goal was to give one of my readers something as a small "Thank you" for putting up with my terrable writing, I decided to go ahead and draw another number... So this time the winning number is:
10
That would be Jonathan P! Thank you for all of the traffic you have sent my way with all of your posts! You may have your choice of any of the prizes as well... (Unless you happen to pick something I have already given to Jacob... :-) )
Once again, thank you to all of my readers, and be sure to keep reading my blog, as I will most likely have another drawing next year too!

Hey all,
Just thought I'd let you all know I will be gone for a couple of days helping out a farmer/friend of ours put in his crops... So no more posts here probably until Friday night, or maybe Sunday, as I have the Appleseed on Saturday... :-)
If you haven't already, please sign up for my giveaway! Thank you to all those who have, but I would really like to hear from a few more of you!

My "New" truck! And an upcoming Appleseed Shoot
Good Morning, and Happy Sabbath!
I thought I'd share a couple pictures of my "New" truck this morning, as well as some information on an upcoming event... We are going bowling this afternoon with some friends, so won't have time to post later... :-)
So, I told you all before that my old pickup was for sale, and that I had gotten a different one... Here is what I got:
It's an '07 Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie! Decked out with almost every available option:
And yes, it's got a
I bought it really cheap, because it has some damage on the passenger side:
It is still perfectly drivable, it just needs some new doors, and a bit of straightening to the lower door sill... The doors actually open and close yet! Here you can see the used doors I picked up to put on:
They will need to be painted though... Not sure if I am going to try that myself, or have somebody else do it.
I also wanted to post about the upcoming Appleseed in Minot, ND. It will be next Saturday, April 28th. I will be there, helping out as an IIT (Instructor in Training). We still have room on the firing line, so sign up now! You can find more information at http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=26117.0
God Bless!

A great day in the shop!
Today was a very productive day in the shop. It was raining on and off all afternoon, so we had plenty of time to work inside...
First on the list was getting Cora's car finished up; we had been working on changing the water pump and timing chain, and were almost finished, just waiting for one more part... :-) So it didn't take too long to finish that up this morning, and Cora was able to drive it in to work this afternoon! She is quite happy. :-)
Our next project is a 2001 Dodge Intrepid, which I bought several weeks ago... The previous owner told me that he had been told that the oil pump was bad, which would pretty much mean the motor would need to be rebuilt or replaced... However, after some extensive testing this afternoon, we were able to determine that the oil pump is fine, but that the water pump is on it's way out! So now I just need to get a bunch of parts to fix it up, and put it all back together... :-)
I was also thinking I was going to have to buy all new tires to put on the car, as one of the previous owners had taken the proper tires off of the rims, and just put some other mis-matched and totally rotten tires back on, in order to be able to roll it around... However, after looking up what size tires were supposed to be on there, we discovered that we had a set of used ones that had been pretty much just given to us, but that were still quite usable! Isn't it amazing how the Lord provides for us? :-)
Well, best get to bed now,
Andrew B.

More grain cleaning.
The last two days I have been grain cleaning again, as I got a call from a neighbor who wanted some cleaning done... Today was kind of nasty, due to a very strong wind blowing all of the dust and gravel from the yard around... I have been rubbing my eyes all afternoon!
I think we are actually done with grain cleaning now, except for a couple hundred bushels for another neighbor, and our own grains... Now we can finally get on to our field work!
Tomorrow is supposed to be a rainy day, so we will probably be working in the shop once again... If everything goes well, I should have Cora's (My sister) car running by the end of the day! It had a bad water pump, which on this particular engine is driven by the timing chain, so it is quite the job to change it out! I got a bunch of parts in Bismarck on Tuesday, so all I need now is a bit of time to work on it... :-)
Best get to bed,

Almost Done...
With grain cleaning, that is! It has been a very long and tiring couple of weeks, and needless to say I am happy to be approaching the end... The income has been greatly appreciated, but the amount of work (and dust) has been approaching extreame.
I had intended to post some more pictures of the ND Homeschool convention, as well as some information on our time at the NDGOP convention, but will have to postpone that to another day. :( I am just too worn out from the past couple of weeks, and we had company this afternoon, so need to get to bed now... I will hopefully be able to update my blog here a little more regularly now that we are (almost) done with grain cleaning.
Goodnight!
Andrew B.
PS. I am still working on a giveaway for my third Bloggerversary! Stay tuned for more info on that as well...

One long weekend...
I am on my way home from a very long weekend at the ND GOP convention... I was helping out with the Ron Paul campaign, so ended up working some long hours, and am suffering from a bad case of sleep deprevation... I got a total of 5 hours sleep in the last three days, with something like 42 hours without rest from Friday morning through the wee hours of Sunday morning... I will sleep well tonight!
On a lighter note, today is my third Bloggerversary! I am still planning a giveaway here in the coming days, but not sure when I will have time to work on it, so it may be a week or to until it slows down enough around here for me to get a chance to get something posted here...
Now I am off to bed!
Andrew B.
