More videos from the NDHSA Convention

I finally got around to posting a couple more videos from this years Homeschool Convention over on YouTube, so thought I would let you all know about those. You can see them all over at my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ManofCourage18

I also uploaded a video of my Mom and Sister playing one of my favorite songs as a piano duet:

Enjoy!

Almost Done...

With grain cleaning, that is! It has been a very long and tiring couple of weeks, and needless to say I am happy to be approaching the end...  The income has been greatly appreciated, but the amount of work (and dust) has been approaching extreame.

I had intended to post some more pictures of the ND Homeschool convention, as well as some information on our time at the NDGOP convention, but will have to postpone that to another day. :(   I am just too worn out from the past couple of weeks, and we had company this afternoon, so need to get to bed now... I will hopefully be able to update my blog here a little more regularly now that we are (almost) done with grain cleaning.

  Goodnight!

PS. I am still working on a giveaway for my third Bloggerversary! Stay tuned for more info on that as well...

More convention pictures!

Hello out there! I will continue updating by blog here as I get a chance between customers... :-)

Last night was the Talent night, where families could get up on stage and perform some music or a skit for the encouragement, enlightenment, and entertainment of the rest of us... :-) It was very enjoyable once again; there is certainly a lot of talent around here!  I did video tape the whole thing once again this year, so keep an eye on my blog and/or my YouTube channel for those videos in the near future.

As of right now, I have a lot of pictures to share with you, so we'll start off with one of our Kitchen Crew in action:

Yummmmmmm!

Me at work:

Here is a shot of two adorable little girls, who happen to look a little bit bored... :-)

Ha! Caught you!

The next couple of shots are from the Talent Night:

More soon!

Convention update

I am enjoying the experience of sitting at a booth with nothing to do except post on my blog... :-) I am taking orders for the audio recordings of the workshops here at the convention. Business is a little slow right now, but I am expecting it will pick up a little bit as we get closer to the end of the convention...  Anybody want to order a MP3 CD? :-)  Anyway, I thought I would share a couple of pictures I have taken soo far:

My booth! :-)

The Used Book Sale in progress...

Our wonderful Kitchen Crew!

This year's keynote speaker, Rick Green.

Love this shot of little Victoria, and the rest of our friends, the S. family. :-)

My friend Isaac, who is running the NDHSA Legislative Team booth just kitty-corner from where I am... He looks a little bored too... :-)

 More pictures to come soon!

At the NDHSA Convention

Dear readers,

I am once again attending the North Dakota Home School Association's annual Convention, and this year I am working in an official capacity of "Volunteer". :-)  I am actually helping out with selling the audio recordings of the convention, so will be sitting at my booth in the vendor hall for most of the time.

For anybody who might be interested, you can watch a live broadcast of several of the conventions workshops here:   http://www.thehomeschoolchannel.tv/events/live-event-ndhsa-christian-home-educators-conference   They do ask a small donation to cover the cost of the streaming, but all the good information should be worth it!

I will try to update my blog with lots of convention related goodies as I get time, so be sure to check back here soon!

More videos:

Here are a couple more clips from the talent night:
First we have our friends, Tim and Louisa S.

And here we have a short skit performed by a couple of homeschool parents. The skit is called "The Stool", but seeing as they had a chair instead of a stool, the called it "The Chair."

And here is a clip from the Homeschool Choir's first practice. I didn't get the final performance on tape, or I would share that instead. Just keep in mind that we are just practicing, we still needed a lot of work!

Thanks for watching, I hope you are enjoying all these videos!

An Announcement, and more video from the convention...

Hello all,

For those of you who don't know this already, today is my sister Cora's birthday! If you would like to send her your well wishes, you can do so over at her blog.

As I promised, I will be posting some more videos from the convention throughout the week. Here we have the Litfin family's song:

NDHSA Homeschool Day at the Capitol

Yesterday was the North Dakota Home School Association's "Homeschool Day at the Capitol", a mostly informal day for homeschoolers to learn about the legislative process, and a chance to visit with their legislators.
I don't have a lot of time right now to explain our whole day, but I thought I would go ahead and post the video that I took of Dr. Bartlett's introduction to the day, and the vender/presenter's introductions. Enjoy!
