I'm Back!

Hello again, and welcome back!

Once again, I haven't posted in a long time, and you all are wondering what I am doing that is so important that I can't blog. Right? :-)

Well, I have been busy working on getting all of our hay equipment ready for the field, and we actually started cutting hay on Monday. My brother, Jacob, is learning how to cut hay this year, so I have been teaching him how to run the hay header. He already knew how to run our 9030, but had never run it with the hay header on before... Thankfully, he is a quick learner. :-)

We have also been working on the large square baler we just bought.

It is a 2002 Case IH LBX431. It had several little problems with it, and so we have been trying to get it fixed up so we can use it... Our hay should be dry enough to try it out this afternoon or evening, so hopefully it will work good!
Got to go,
Andrew B

Graduation speech

Hi all,

It's been a week since I graduated! Wow, time sure flies!

I am finally getting around to posting some videos from my Graduation. We have been very busy around the farm, trying to get all the sunflowers planted, and getting ready for haying season.

Here is part one of my speech:

And here is part two:

More videos soon.... Enjoy!

Graduation!

Well, It's over. I'm graduated. Do I feel any different? Nope.

I don't know how to start telling about it, so I guess I will just start at the beginning of the day, and work my way through. :-)

In the morning, we got up and did our chores, then came in and took our showers, etc. We got a lot of stuff packed up in our van, and then headed over to the Braddock Community Center, which is where we had the party. We finished setting up the tables, blew up a bunch of balloons, got the food warming, and did other last minute things to get ready...

Most of the people started showing up around 2:00, and we were pretty much ready by then. I stood close to the door, and greeted people, as well as showed off some of my Lego inventions that I had taken over there for that purpose. :-) We were planning on starting the program at 2:30, but we were having a little trouble with the sound system, so we didn't get started till about 2:45. Here is a picture of the flier we had printed out to give to people.

That about says how the program progressed. I was not really looking forward to giving a speech, but it actually went better than I had thought it would. :-)
I had a very good time with a lot of my friends, even though several of my best friends couldn't come. Overall, it was a very nice day.
Check my Mother's and my Sister's blog for a much more detailed overview of the day, as I don't like to write as much as they do. :-) And there's not much sense in writing things twice. Also, while they are writing on their blogs, I will be posting some video clips to YouTube, so check back later for some video clips, and more pictures from the program. :-)
