Quick post...

Hi y'all,
Just a quick post to let you all know that I am still alive, just extreamly busy with grain cleaning, and calving right now... Sorry I haven't updated lately, but just don't have the time. Right now I am about ready to crawl into bed, so I will close with a "Good Night!"

Busy as a Bee...

Dear readers,
Once again I am behind on my blogging, and haven't gotten to a lot of other things around here either... I spent most of the week out cleaning grain from dawn to dusk, and haven't really had much time to do things around here... (To my winners from last week's drawing: Yes, I received your e-mails, sorry I haven't gotten the prizes mailed yet... I will try to get them out on Monday.)
Today we are going up to Bismarck to have a little family time away from all of the work... This morning after chores, we worked on getting some of our old bicycles in shape, as we are planning on riding on one of the bike trails up there, after a good lunch at the Golden Corral. Sounds like fun!
Best get ready to go...

And the winners are...

As you are all probably wondering who the lucky winners are, I thought I would post them quick before I crawl into bed. ;-)

And the winners are: (Da da da da, da,)
Winner number 1: Grace F. (Clap clap clap) and
Winner number 2: Jonathan P. (Clap clap clap) :-)
The winners may e-mail their selections, along with their mailing address to My e-Mail

For all those of you who didn't win, thank you very much for your support, and all of the comments! As a little gift to you, I thought I would recommend a couple of websites that I find helpful/interesting, and that may save you time or money, or just for fun!
  • The Good Clean Funnies List (Just for fun!)
  • Project Gutenberg (A website dedicated to making older books available to the public in an electronic format--for FREE! Some of my favorite authors: G. A. Henty, and R. M. Ballantyne)
  • InterfaceLIFT (A great place to find a neat background for your computer screen)
  • Rejoice Radio (One of our very favorite radio stations, on almost constantly around here)
  • Open Office (A free suite of programs that are compatible with Microsoft Office)
  • AVG Free Antivirus (For those of you still paying for virus protection for your computer, here is a great alternative that I have been using for several years now, and strongly recommend! )
  • More on my sidebar...

I had better get to bed,

Andrew B.

Last day...

Well, Today is the last day to get in your entry for my drawing, better hurry!
Some more things added to my give-away:
(K) A miniature wooden cream can, about 3" high x 1" around, choice of silver, green, or red!
(L) An empty Altoids tin, great for keeping little old rusty bolts in! :-)
(M) A (Fake) Million Dollar Bill! (With a Christian message on the back...)
(N) A North Dakota State Quarter, Mint condition!

My list is getting so long, I thought I would change the rules as follows:

  1. There will now be two (2) Grand Prize winners, and
  2. Each Grand Prize winner will be allowed their selection of two (2) of the available prizes.
  3. Drawing will be held Sunday, April 4th, after night chores, or appx. 9:00 PM

Better hurry!

April 1!

It is hard to believe that the year is already 1/4 over! Where does the time always go? I know that we have been very busy, and that the time always goes faster when you are busy...
Right now it is raining outside, with a couple of flashes of lightening now and then... The rain is actually a good thing right now, as it will set the farmers back a little, and they will have a little more patience with wanting their grain cleaned... It also gives Dad and I a little more time to work on my cleaner, so we are busy with that again. :-)
I have been thinking of some other things to add to my list of 'Prizes', and have come up with the following:
(I) A "Can you find it" bottle (Including a toothpick, bobby pin, screw, paperclip, button, marble, and the elusive "Unidentified Shiny Object", all hidden in a bunch of birdseed inside a plastic bottle)
(J) A really old "Vintage" picture/slide projector, as-is,
(K) more to come...
